Who I Am and What I Do

Welcome everyone I would first like to thank you for taking the time to sit down and peruse through my work! To introduce myself I am Isaiah Walker a habitat designer, animal lover, aspiring wildlife sanctuary owner, and above all else a father and husband. I am currently attending Unity Environmental University to achieve a BA in Animal Health and Behavior, once I graduate, I will be going back to obtain my MA is Wildlife conservation. I started Walker Root Designs as a way to help those who want to give their animals a better home with a new and unique twist, fantasy! A lot of us are DnD and fantasy lovers and you and I can work together to bring that to life while giving your animals a forever home! I specialize in bio-active biomes and even breed my own isopods and springtails, which will also be available for purchase in seasonal waves! So, if what I do interest you please reach out and let's sit down and design something truly unique!

20-Gallon Octagon Vivarium

This is my 20-gallon octagon tank in its first stages of life, when it was a vivarium for my giant Asian forest scorpion Aesir! Over time it began to take on an image of its own and became something truly unique!

Aesir's Realm

This is what the 20-gallon octagon turned into! Now this was my first ever paludarium build and it took me a loooong time to complete! Over 29 hours of love, sweat, and tears! He loved his home and he stayed in this until his passing in early 2025. This take is still in this current build state albeit need redoing! So be on the lookout for that!

The Big Tank

Now the tank you will see in this collection is massive, we are talking 75-80 gallons and man has it always been work! It was initially for my largest tarantula Ursula a curly hair tarantula that sadly is no longer with us. You will get to see her and all of the phases that the tank has been through and is currently in! It is in desperate needs of an update as you will see but due to its ecosystem being so well established in needs to be done in pieces. I hope you enjoy my work!

The Floating Isle

Now this project was such a joy to make and i was so happy with its design! The idea was to create a floating Isle with an inland river that all the land creatures would use as a vital waterway. This was meant to be a home for my eventual vampire crabs but sadly the build continually had pump issues and was scrapped. The floating land mass is still in use by some isopods so do not worry! :D

Cleopatra's vivarium

Cleopatra is our first ball python, and we do our best to give her a wonderful life full of enrichment! From new food to updating her plants my goal is to show everyone bioactivity and snakes can go hand and hand!
